The Rotovibe is a totally different circuit than the Univibe.

Yes the Roto-Vibe is a Red cry-Baby looking pedal.
The Uni-Vibe is an aluminum or stainless steel color, and has a separate foot controller for speed.
We don't seem to hear so much about the Roto Vibe, I tried one once, a 'mellow' effect, by itself through an amp.

Yes and no. The Rotovibe is a four stage phaser that uses optocouplers but beyond that they are both completely different circuits.

It is not newish. The Rotovibe has been around for a long time. When Dunlop got the use of Hendrix's name the Rotovibe became part of their Hendrix series of pedals since it was similar to the univibe without infringing on the Univibe.

When Dunlop got the Univibe trade mark they pumped out the "reissue" for the Hendrix fans and the Rotovibe was removed from the Hendrix line of pedals. I think the Rotovibe still has the "JH" from the Jimi Hendrix series in its model name to this day.
