i need to try to do this with npn ge transistors, and at this point am thoroughly confused...
do i have to reverse bias the in34a in an npn circuit as well? does that mean the band on the diode points towards the emitter or the base?
sorry, i'm all messed up here!!
;(
appreciate the help... i think i get the pnp mod..does npn mean i reverse it?

my tonebender is npn, my ff is pnp...
both have crazy temp issues.

and my bwain is widdle, and shouldn't be out there on it's own.... ??? :o :icon_eek: :icon_redface:

thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

Easy way to remember:

The diode goes between the Base and Emitter, and always in the opposite direction to the Emitter's arrow.

This means that by following the arrows on the symbols, you should be able to complete a circular loop through the base of the transistor through the diode back to the base again.
