Ibanez DDL schem?

Anyone have a schematic for an old Ibanez digital delay? I'm guessing it's their first, or the only one in the line: no '"regular" type number, jus "digital delay" and DDL markings.
It's an L-series pedal like these:

and carries what looks like the actual delay chip marked MC4191F. Can't find anything on it, though.
Not the best delay, but it has this annoying bleed-through that I want to get rid off. The pedal "listens" to what youre playing when in bypass (which makes for some rather surprising effects when you switch it on while playing) but that also means there's always a *little* bit of delay in the bypassed signal.

I have a DDL. I got one because a good friend of mine uses one, and I always liked his delay sound, he uses it to great effect. I never noticed any of those things that you mentioned, though. I haven't used it that much since I got it maybe a 6-8 months ago. Something sounds awry with yours.  :?

Sorry, I don't have a schematic for it.  :(
I would be interested in seeing one.

It has seen some abuse, for sure. If I use a battery, voltage drops to 2.4V! Fine on adapter though. Probably a fried diode - which oddly gets bypassed by the DC jack? Can't find anything (yet) though.
Does yours listen to the delay signal when in bypass? (so that when youset a long delay time,  play, stop and hit the switchm you hear back what you played when the thing was off?)
If not, I'm thinking input FET switching is off it's tea.
There's a LOT of electronics stuffed in this thing...

No, I don't remember that happening. I could check that tonight when I get home from work, though. I am 97% sure that mine doesn't do what you describe. It sounds like the FET switching is whacked or something?!
How long of a delay time are we talking about? I seem to remember it having up to 2 seconds or so...

Mike Burgundy

yeah, that's about max of what it can do. Surely enough to clearly hear that effect.
Now that I've tinkered with it some more, apparently some feedback loop isn't quite okay either, if you use lots of delays, they get progressively grainier and noisier. Which is something I though digital delays didn't do?

Paul Marossy

I don't remember having any issues with low-fi noise with the passage of time. I'll look out for that, too.

Looking at the Harmony-Central.com user reviews, it appears that your unit is definitely malfunctioning...

A lot of the people say it's "quiet and adds no noise".

at http://www.8bitsindgenug.net/mn0bit.htm there's a DFL (Flanger) schematic, which is from the same series and usese the same chip.

I'll have a look, thanks
