Quote from: trescat:)What kind of cases do you use?? If they are aluminium how do you get them looking so shiny and silvery?

Cheers

They are Taiwanese die-cast aluminum enclosures, I got them for about $2 USD each。
You can get them from small bear electronics , too.

I sanded the top surface (not all surfaces) using #180, #320, #500, #1000 and #1500 sandpapers attached to a sanding block. If you go much further, it would look more like a mirror. Finer abrasive materials are also available but very expensive.
I DIY therefore I am.

I think the fact that Wizard is from Taiwan has something to do with it.

That's also why he gets those SCD jacks so cheap. They too, are located in Taiwan.

Man, every time I come to this thread I have to stop and admire his layout and finishing work. Spectacular!

Silk screening is fun but $$$$$.

very true!
but what is not expensive that gives you such a great feeling of accomplishment!
i'm so far in the "hole" that I keep thinking I see a top hat clad rabbit . hoping he/she can get me out of here and back home, where I can just play my guitar and not answer the phone!

sorry, did'nt mean to bring the "noise" as it were.

man that is a very beautiful piece of work, love filled , quality all the way!
makes the difference between just another black box and " man what the hell is that?".
"It'll never work."

stunning. very VERY professional looking! (runs off to buy some sanding paper)

one small thing though: on the looper, the DC jack is in the front of the box... why is that? was there no room on the back or sides? what is being held up by that mistery screw where the DC jack usualy goes?
for me, with my 1000 wires and cables and stuff running on the floor when i play, it would be a drawback to have the wire attached to the fron tof the pedal.

can you shed some light? have a look inside, maybe?
