I have built the EA trem and love it, but now I wan't to mod it :D  this is how we learn about circuits right?
What I'ld love to do, as you've probably gathered by the tittle, is drive the tremolo and a phozer circuit from the same LFO as I understand they are quite similar.
I'm new to this thing so any help/ideas is much appreciated, thanks.

Well since they have the same LFO, why not just build the circuits seperate and use dual gang pots to contol them? That way they won't interfere with each other.

Or you could use vactrols and something like the easyvibe LFO....thats what i'd do.

I take it you want to have them running at the same speed and depth?

Well, running them the same speed with seperate depths is what I'm after.
Dual-gang pots would work but it is not compleatly accurate and I would want the two to be in compleat sync for the whole LFO cycle over time.

Please explain this option, it sounds interesting.
What is vactrols?

A Vactrol is an LED facing and LDR in some shrink tube, I think folks round here make their own, I know I do. When the LED lights up it lowers the LDRs resistance, so if you connect the LED to and LFO you get a controllable resistance. For the phozer you would put an LDR to ground in place of the 22uF capacitor and the J201 that is connected to the depth pot (see Idiot wah). Then you can omit the EA LFO and use the easyvibe LFO to drive the LED. Another bonus with this is it keeps your LFO seperate from the rest of the circuit so you're less likely to get cliks from it.

Do you want to run the tremolo and phozer simultaneously, or switch from one to the other?

Neutral

Thanks lightningfingers, since I have the EA trem built with the LED mod that pulses with the Rate could I run a vactrol off that? how could I incorporate that into the Phozer schematic?

Ge_Whiz - I want one Rate control with a Depth for amp and a Depth for LPF fequency so they run simultaniously.

I'ld ultimatly love to have another Depth for pitch vibrato but I don't wan't to complicate things at this stage.
