Jason has been kind enough to post my last series of Ultimate Harmonic Enhancement - Distortion experiments using diode compression, mosfets, Black Fires (thanks Joe Davidson) Mu-Amps (thanks Jack Orman) and whatever else I could dream up (thanks Aron and thanks everyone else).  It occured to me I hadn't tried a diode compression Black Fire last night.

The newest one "Flame" is a dual diode compressed Mu-Amp using J201's.

The diode compression used in most of these adds some SQUISH that I like and find lacking in most designs.

I have REALLY built all of these (thanks Radio Shack small bread boards and Gary for talking me into buying one) and they seem to sound wonderful.  I hope others will try them and tell me if they suck or not.  I don't want to sit here thinking I'm using state-of-the-Art distortions and find out they they sound like Hell, although I guess that is sort of the theme. :D
