Wasn't really hard.
I just wired pins 1-4 to half an IC socket, and the other half IC socket for pins 5-8 on the board.
I just pulled the OA leads 1 - 4 straight out, and 5-8 all the way around, plugged half the OA in the wired socket and the other half [5 -8] in the board Half socket, EZ...dont try this...lol
The hardest part was getting the old oa out. I just cut it off, and pulled the pins out with tweezers and a dab of heat.
Both upgrade chips [TL072 and 5532], seemed less 'ragged'.
Anyway there are a number of little brown caps [carbon I think] in there and I'm wondering about those....thinking of doing some mods...
Anyone try just some high end rolloff on one of these? Seems like the high end has alot of room to go up past where I like it [gets 'hashy or harsh past 12 or 1 oclock].
I'm thinking maybe just tame the high end off just a bit [possibly like at pin 8 since I'm not familiar with the board layout]...off to Fuzz Central to take a look...DS-1...Yeahh...
