well, this was initially the reason i came to the forum about a year ago. i have an mxr time delay that had a bum switch. i was trying to figure out how to rehouse it and pretty much ran into dead ends due to an oddball switch. well i happened to be talking to the lady at a local electronics shop and somehow this got brought up. she ended up having 2 nos switches for it! so i finally fixed this thing. but any way this isn't the usual time delay you see in the little plastic box. this is a bigger one in this heavy, metal case. it's got the sad4096 chip along with a ne571n (dbx??) chip and 3 rc4558p chips. it's got all film caps and 3 trim pots. any one have any info on this pedal? i believe it is an mxr time delay model 206. it's got a real low serial number, too - 001451. i've only seen one similar pedal, a phaser.

no. it's a time delay. like i said i'm almost positive it's a time delay m-206. the cheap plastic one is m-166. it looks like this phase except with a third knob right in the middle. it's dely/mix/regen just like the analog delay though.

edit... i can't attach the image. i'll try to find one that's on the net if i can.

ok. here's a stero flanger i found on a google image search. my time delay is identical except for the words are in green. there are jacks for in and stereo outs plus a power jack.

that's not it. either of them. those are both m-166's in the plastic case. here's what i found out from a guy who worked for mxr durring that time...... the ones in the pic are from the commande series (ca. 1985<) the one i have was made in 1983 and it is from the 2000 series (apparently the 2000 series were only from 83 and maybe early 84). the flange i posted is from this series. they're similar to the commande but when you look at it at an angle like the flange is you can see the 2000 are much bigger. they have the red and yellow led on the top - red when on, yellow when off. so basically it is pretty rare. like i said, i have never seen another one like it. i'd like to find out a little more but nobody seems to know much about them.

I'm 0 for 2  I'm not very familiar with that series.
Do you have a dig. camera to take some pics?

i don't. it's one of those things i really need but never manage to buy. i'll try to snap a pic of it with somebody's cam.

If you do take some pics, be sure to take some of both sides of the pcb board. It'll come in handy when someone has a problem with one.
