Now there is a visual for you.  Serious BMP mod.

At the risk of sounding like a Vulcan groupie, I set out to build a BMP using Vulcan stages and the diodes loop to ground alright, but it just didn't sound as good IMHO.  You might try just using Vulcan stages, or mixing them in with the standard BMP stages for a smoother sound.  Of course there is the switching option as well.
