wah pot VS linear pot

since my wah's pot died along time ago and i replaced it with a linear, i started wondering would it sound different with a "proper" pot, hot potz or something like that?

is there a trick to modify the linear pot to have a similiar sweep like the "proper" wah pot?

like putting a resistor between two vipers or something?

anyone ever measure the response of the wah pot, i mean - how the resistance change with the sweep...

The Hot Potz is actually a clarostat. I replaced mine not long ago. Maybe someone can define the difference?
