Warm Creamy Fuzz

Does anyone have any suggestions for a really warm and granular fuzzy fuzz box schematics. I want the warmer style of fuzz and am not fure of the huge variety of fuzz schematics, which one to choose. Another criteria for me is that it has to be as simple as posible for one of my first pedals.

Hello Hello--
   How about just a regular germanium Fuzz Face??  Or Joe Gagan's hybrid Easy Face?   Both are simple circuits and are a great place to start.

When I think of very warm, inoffensive fuzz, I think of 4049-based fuzzes (aka tube-sound fuzz).  Think jazz, soulful blues, etc.  Check out http://members.optusnet.com.au/~jethro.dog/mypic73.jpg and search the forum.

after you build a "easy" circuit like the easyface or fuzzface, try the tonebender..im loving my Silicon version by RDV.

For me, in my limited experience, warmth in a fuzz comes from the EQ, rolling off highs and having enough bass leaves you with thick and creamy fuzz.

The one I built has a cap to roll off highs in the circuit. Look at the 470pf here on Q2

Miss Piggy is also supposed to be rather smooth because you can adjust the gain stages to taste. Search the forum for piggy back and miss piggy.

do you mean with "granular" something that's not that soft overdrive, but still warm for blues? Maybe you can try my FAT GERMs (experiment with input caps)
