As Chris just said, the FuzzFace can be a tricky one. I think of it as the "tardis" of circuits... MUCH larger on the inside than it is on the outside.

I am a glutton for punishment so I tried the neg ground version again.  It did work but as someone mentioned before it started osillating when the Fuzz or the Bias controls got near being maxed out.  I just switched it back to the + ground version and it is a pretty good sounding fuzz.

On many fuzz face layouts i see polarized caps being used,why are they used insted of non polarized caps ?? can you interchange ??Is there any tone advantage,one over another??

I 'think' I prefer films something.
 Carbons work electrolytics work, I like the film ones for input and output.

It sure would be nice if someone could post a complete off board wiring diagrahm for the pos ground, pnp boutique fuzz  I bought my board from guitar gadgets .Im using a 3pdt switch,led ,batt, and dc jack.maybe some one could scan a hand drawn version, or mod one of guitar gadgets partial versions,It would bring it all together for me and many others thanks
