i know this topic is discussed here a lot
i ve dloaded some programs
but i don't think they do the job
i want a nice software to draw schematics but also
measure the voltage on a certain point bla bla...
???

tried microcap? has a free student version and allows simulation of circuits.

Electronics Workbench is similar I think, but I've never used it.

This link has some discussions about various software and some other links:http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/index.php?showtopic=464

This link takes you right to a page you can download various free software from:http://home.planet.nl/~heuve345/electronics/software.html

I am using this:(livewire) //www.pulsar.gs/nwc It costs $50 U.S. It is the only software I have tried, so I don't really know how it compares to anything else available. I like it so far, but haven't had much time to use it. It can run simulations of the schematics you draw and you can perform tests on any point in the circuit with virtual multimeter, ocilloscope, function generator, etc..
When I get the time I will download some of the programs in the above link and see what they can do.
