smallstone COLOR SWITCH...

Hi!

I built the smallstone from tonepad but I have a litlle problem withthe color switch.
In a side position I have the effect and in other side I have the sound without effect (the sound is bypass).
So I would to know if It's normal or not, ans What's the fuction of this color switch
