What size range (smallish ?!?) ? Log or lin ? Pot value ? Shaft size ?

Mouser has some nice options.

i use the trim pots from Mouser.
They have horizontal and vertical versiions.
U didn't say if U wanted 2 use knobs(?)
I'm working on a FF generic tester that will have 2 trimpots per tranny.
4 trannys and lots of extra pads to connect resistors/caps.
With this design, i'm hoping to build several of the FF derivitives.

I think the best right angle PCB mount pots are theses ones from mouser:
http://www.mouser.com/index.cfm?&handler=data.listcategory&D=*31VQ*&terms=31VQ&Ntt=*31VQ*&Dk=1&Ns=MfgrPartNumber%7c%7cSField&N=0&crc=true
They aren't super small but they mount really well.  Very strong leads and all.  I believe this is what EHX uses to hold their PCBs in place.

Sick of wiring, eh brian?

I'm looking at the new mouser catalog and on page 432,
they have 12mm Alpha PCB mount pots in Audio and Linear taper.
They look like they are D shaft.

Values are 1K, 5K, 10K, 50K, 100K, 500K, 1M
and it shows them at $1.16 each at a quantity of 100.
They are also available with solder lugs.

I haven't tried yet.
