Anyone know of a good, cheap program that will allow you to make a schematic then convert that into a PCB layout to print and etch?

TIA

for small boards try eagle lite://www.cadsoft.de

you can also get the free version of protel which is dos-based but has a higher learning curve.

You can do a search for "auto routing" software but if you do your reasearch you will also find out that autorouters suck for analog. Your better off learning to route boards manually. Sorry, no easy way out for this one.

You can do a search for PCB software as this topic comes up often and has been disscussed.

Yeah man, for analog circuits the best routing software is... your mind.
Prepare a small draft of the circuit on a piece of blank paper, then use Photoshop or illustrator for drawing it on computer.
Tone God is righ: do a search on this forum since his topic has been discussed many times.

PS: people, I'm totally drunk now... I've drank too much red wine this evening... Sorry, now I go to bed

i use Express PCB and Express Schematic...it allows you to "link" the chematic to the PCB and helps with the connections...and its FREE !!!

i'll try to remember the website for you and post it...

I also like Eagle from cadsoft.  It took me a couple weeks to learn it well enough to do a full pcb design.
