PT2396 with MCU control?

I just recieved an PT2396 chip. The easy thing is building the GGG PT80 circuit. However from the chip's datasheet it comes clear the chip can be controlled externally as well utilizing a microcontroller (MCU) which, I think, caan greatly enhance the chips capacity. However there seems to be no information in the datasheet on how to do this.

Anyone?

Unfortunately the Princeton data sheets are pretty sparse.  I've had better luck looking up the Mitsubishi parts they are meant to replace, take a look at this:

That is exactly the datasheet for which my google searches did not give any results. Thanks a 10E6.
And, yes, this datasheet does solve my question.
