DOD overdrive little new problem

I've just noticed a little problem in a DOD malmsteen overdrive i've built some months ago..
often i have a loss of volume... and sometimes i'hear a terrible high-pitched sound...

maybe the volume pot ?
a DPDT contact ?

help :/

mmm ok... i'll try changin' the volume pot.. it sounds scratchy...
