I just wanted to share my success in painting these boxes.

If you notice the pattern on the third pic, it IS a mistake, but a very nice one. I could almost assume it has something to do with the molecular structure of the spray enamel interacting with the acrylic laquer I used.

I sandpapered this other box for about an hour, and then messed up with the laquer. Too bad, but it still shines and reflects a lot.

"Reticulation". The solvent from the lacquer has penetrated and swollen the paint, then dried and 'frozen' the pattern in place.
