With special thanks to Mark Hammer, I have finished my version of the Blue Box Deluxe.
This this is a lot more flexible with the additional switches added.
The two on the right are for changing the capacitor values of the fuzz and the square wave individually. The one on the left is for changing octives from the normal two down, to one down.
Thanks to everyone who helped me get this thing working finally!!
Happy new year!

But do you LIKE the sound?

And if so, can you offer any recommendations about cap values from your experimenting, or did I just get lucky and suggest the "right" ones?

BTW, how do you like the sound with the single octave down vs the 2-octave down?

Yes, this is a strange effect to play through, but you can get some interesting sounds out of it. I do like the sound, as I used to own an original when I first started playing as a teenager.

I choose to switch between a .01uF and .022uF cap for both the fuzz and flip flop signals. Using these caps with the SPDT center off switch, I can use either value cap, or no cap (high treble wich I like), or a mixture of the 3 settings for each signal. I have read that someone placed a 100kA pot somewhere in this circuit (at the old location of C9?) as a tone control? I think I read this on a build report on tonepad.com.

The single octive down is useful in my opinion as it makes the effect more subtle and not as "in your face" as the double octave.

I still wish the tone controls were a little more flexible than choosing between fixed sounds. It would be nice to "dial-in" a specific tone. You can't have everything I guess.

Thanks again for the suggestions Mark.
