I finally found and fixed my wiring errors on the Crash Sync. I have several fuzzes that I could play one right after the other, that some would think are the exact same circuit, but this one stands alone. I have not built the Wisker Biscuit yet, but I would say that it has some heavy competition for sustain. It is very unruley to say the least and has all kinds of overtones. Depending on where the timer pot is adjusted, it can do notes that resolve in a gating splat sound. I used an NE555 timer, and a TL082 to build this with. I will eventually substitute different chips to see if there is any difference. The schematic calls for a TL072 dual op amp, but the 082 seems to work just fine. What's cool about it, is the fact I can get it at Radio Shack. If the "Crash Sync Chords" sample is done without some sort of wah, then mine won't do that on it's own. The general tone is very similar to my Easy Face, and is very bassy. I will want to have a cap switch option in there to get more treble. It has gobs of gain, and it will come very close to driving it's self without the guitar volume being on! Right now, it is not housed and feeds back something horrible because of it. Overall, this is a great circuit just the way it is. Thanks John Hollis!
