I use plastic enclosure for the Ruby.
The other pics are my unfinished enclosure for my effect. It cloning from a Boss enclosure. I made it from a kind of plastic.
Its not paint, and look like a bad enclosure. but after I paint it, it look like a real Boss effect. Maybe some day I will post finished effect with the enclosure pic.
Thanks for all diyers whom made this think great......

Hi Image_sounder,

that enclosure looks awsome! I build my enclosures in a similar way. When I started building my own enclosures I also wanted to build them like that with a boss-like switching mechanic, but I made them more simple as I thought that the enclosure would become to complex otherwise.

Here two pictures of my enclosures:

The enclosure on the first picture is already painted with primer paint, however I also use a transparent plexiglass-like material (which is called "macrolon", don't know if you know this in the USA).
As you can see my enclosure is much thicker (about 5mm). So I what exactly is that material you use? And is ist still solid/resistable enough as the sides of the enclosure are so thin?

And one more question: Which kind of switch are you going to use? A normal footswitch?

I am very interested in these kinds of enclosures, and I didn't see a lot of info about how to make them.

Is it possible to know more or find a site with details about how to make moulds to make them?

I received an airbrush for Xmas from my wife, and I am looking for more ways to put it to use.

I also want to put 4 modified Boss effects in the same enclosure. so it would be a nice solution. Maybe with some shielding inside. A PIC will take care of the switching.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Gilles

Hi FatMike,

I build the switching system like Boss, because I couldn`t find a foot switch in my country. so I decide to make this enclosure.

I use some kind of plastic and glue with super glue and is strong hard.
This enclosure isn`t finished, and not painted.

Today i have finished My enclosure, and  it`s painting and look good for me. But I still don`t have a photo`s for post in the galery.

SOrry for my awsome enclosure

I have and idea about making some effect combine togheter in one enclosure. and it`s switching with microcontroller AT89C51 and It have LCD display. So if I push a button there will be a word that explain what effect we use. DIstortion...., delay...., etc.

And it have a preset, that if we use it, we can choose several effect, or combine two or more effect.
I have finished my program for microcontroller, and still finished for other hardware that I used for it.
Maybe next time I will post it, if I finished it.
