Odie - am I doing something wrong?

So I built Odie. I hook it up. Nice clean sound.. but not really any different with or without it running. What should I be listening for? Is it subtle?

3 JFETS.
U *should* have some gain...some volume difference.
Your guitar *should* B "louder".
Then, as the GainPot is brought up, the 2nd JFET should overdrive.
Is your batt good???
Did U trim 4 4.5V @ the Drain of Q1 & Q2??
Perfing a circuit is always more error prone than a pcb.
Got your SGD (SourceGateDrain) oriented correctly??
Got your in/out sw wired correct??
Re-re-re-check the wiring......
