Help with adding a gain recovery stage

Hey,
I posted awhile back about the Harmonic Percolator I'd build from one of Alf's schematics.  All the suggestions were helpful and now I've decided to add a gain recovery stage onto the end of the circuit (after the diodes).
I have a little headphone amp that I build last year, and for the hell of it, I basically just inserted one of the channels into the circuit to see how much of a boost I'd get.  It worked amazingly well.  I'm not sure how kosher this is but I have enough leftover parts to build 1/2 of a headphone amp and I have a dual opamp (TL072) that I thought I'd try to use.  If anyone has time, check out the layout diagram for the headphone amp:

Is it possible to run the perc's signal thorugh half the op amp?  If so, do you know of any problem I might run into if I just build half of the headphone amp?

This idea may be shite but hell I thought I'd run it by ya'll anyway.

Thanks,
Buzz

Hi!

You should be fine using half of the headphone amp. Though is probably easier just add a transistor stage to provide some gain instead of using half an opamp

for a simple transistor stage, you can look at something like the LPB-1/2, I modded one, and that's what I use as an extra bit of gain on all my pedals...(that need it...).
