Hello everybody! A newbie here! :D

I've got an 1989 Digitech PDS 2000 2 second digital delay/sampler that has developed a problem of fading out echo effect volume, with a distinct graininess of the effect voice, over time.

Has anyone faced that and cured it? Thanks for any input.

I assume you've changed the battery or run from a good power supply?

I have one of these pedals as well! Groovy fun in my junk room having psycho jams with myself!

Yes...yes I  did use a fresh battery. :D

The delay works normally after a period of "rest".  After a period of "work", the delay gets weaker and weaker, but the source signal remains, controled by the global output knob :(

Most 'fade out over time' problems are bad caps, or a component overheating for some reason.
If it really is going grainy, maybe there is a problem before the d/a converter? It doesn't sounnd like an 'easy' fix to me :(

also...(i have a pds-1002)
there are some trim pots in there...one of them can make mine do this...
(one of them can make the unit self oscillate as well...)so id give that a shot...
