I found a foxx wa pretty cheap, it looks like a later wah with no fuzzy fur on it and different components to the schems ive seen.

i found the schematic for the foxx/wa/fuzz/octave/volume and then just put my ftm board in, not to difficult, to make it even easier there was the markings (made when moulding the case) for the extra holes for the volume sustain tone octave switch and fuzz bypass.

i seem to have a knack of making it look like there are a lot more wires than their actually is.

Yeah, that looks good.

I've never used a fOXX wa before. Is that knob on the front to change the tone of the wa (presumably a rotary switch with a bunch of caps)?

One thing I might suggest would be to think about replacing the toggle switch for the octave to a foot switch. It looks like there might be space on the right side above the treadle; in fact, it kind of looks like there may be a knock out there already in the case.

I find the octave switch to be very useful on my Tone Machine so I installed a foot switch -- I also like the normal fuzz sound too.

Nice!!!

Is it just me or does that thing look like a tank? I'd buy one...just for the looks (seriously)

Thanks for the photos! I have never seen one with guts like that before. The photo below is the "normal" layout.

Thanks for posting that pic Dan.

I noticed that they were using a "real" PCB at that time. When I bought my FTM in 73-74 it didn't have a real PCB. All the components are laid out on a piece of paper. I've never taken it out of the box for fear of destroying the circuit.
