Is there any way to make a tone pot more progressive?  I've got a Texas Two Step that I like alot, but the tone knob goes from muddy to bright in about 10% of it's sweep.  The first 70% of the sweep is muddy, then there's a very touchy 10% sweep in between, the last 10% is too bright to use.  Is these any simple mod to help this?  Thanks!

Pot taper.

See "The Secret Life of Pots" at GEO, and learn to mess about with pot tapers to spread out that sweet spot.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

or....
change the value of the pot.
or....
put resistors at top( or bottom) of pot.
or....
put resistor(s) in parallel with pot,
2 change taper..
think GEO covers this(?)
