Lets share our experiences with vendors and where we shop.

This should help us all to be able to get good deals and save some cash.

I like Circuit Specialist for common stuff.

Small Bear for specifics.

Ebay for somethings like IC's

I stay clear of the Crap Shack

Wasn't impressed with Futurlec. I waited 6 weeks for an order, after inquiring they said that is was ready long ago but they were waiting on a cap to fill it. Why couldn't they just have emailed me, I would have dropped the stupid cap geesh.

Who has the best prices on in/out 1/4 jacks, pots, 3pdt?

Id say Texas Instruments for ICs. I get hella free dual opamps and schtuff from them. I like crap shacks LEDs, they come in a pretty mount and work fine. They are just normal leds in a normal mount. And they are fairly cheap. At least I think they are worth it. Crap shack is good for other stuff like....ferric chloride. 5 dollars for what? 1/2 liter? I dunno how much it is but its cheaper than at Gateway Electronics where I shop for resistors/caps/pots/switches. So....not to be a corporate sell out but Rat Shack does have some stuff thats worth it if you are in a hurry, or...like me....cant order too much from catalogs.
