help troubleshooting my Boss DD2

first post here after coming by to gather info for quite a long time. i want to say thanks in advance for any help.

so i took it apart to do the hi cut mod with the switch and all and when i put it back together its not passing the straight signal in effect mode. the delays come through but thats it. the bypass mode works fine and the effect level knob works as well but when it is all the way off in effect mode you hear nothing.

i know its difficult to do this stuff without seeing the pedal but if anyone knows where to start then maybe i can get it figured out. and remember i'm no pro at this stuff...i basically know just enough to be dangerous and in this case i have been.
