Questions about GeoFex switching article.

I'm trying to switch remotly between a few effects using a handfull of VTL5C1's that I have.  I was thinking of using the switching from an amplifier, but the schematic I have seems to be wrong.  I remembered seeing the GEOFEX document to do this and re-reading the article I uderstand how the CMOS is used, but am unsure how to power the output of the CMOS for the LED's of the VTL5C1's.  I have a preliminary schematic and would appreciate if someone could take a quick look at it for obvious errors I have missed.  I'm still learning much about electronics and sometimes miss things.

Also I'm unsure of what transistor's might work well.

First connect 1k resistor to current control to every led
second, connect 10k resistor between gnd and LE
