This may be a long shot, but a friend has asked me to see if i can build him a Morley Pro Series 2 Volume/Wah Pedal. He has a Morley Classic, and wants a sweeter sounding wah, I told him that i tried it out on bass, and that the high end was very sweet.

Here's the Schematic

And I'm assuming that perfboarding that probably won't fit in his morley shell.

Maybe I could mod his wah instead? Change the sweep range or something?

you know, I kind of thought that all the morley wah's were built on the same PCB, just with different component values and maybe a few sections added or left out.   I have a Morley wah, and though I've never thoroughly investigated this, I've looked at the PCB and noticed there are certain holes/traces that are unused.  I've always assumed these were so they could build different models using a universal board.  Anyway, you may want to check that out and compare the schematics, changing to the different model may be as simple as replacing a few components.

Don't take my word for it though, I could be way off.

interesting, Here's the schematic for the was he has now

I'd probably lean towards modding his, but if the PCB is the same, then maybe i could just add the needed components, and change some of the changed components.

the PCB can be populated with the components of each model
also they are all very similar, changing a few components would turn one into another

BTW, a very simple mod that will improve it's sound is to change input and output caps
morley uses big values for that parts to my taste, i think that's because of making pedals usable with guitar and bass
as i only want to use mine with guitar i reduced that caps values and now it sounds better

i'm also designing a smaller PCB for cloning this pedal (i've already cloned and modded one, i post a report about a month ago), i'll let you know when it's done (the one i've used had some mistakes)
