Hi, I bought MT-2 and all seems working. Except when you crank up MID, there is high noise hiss. I am familiar with soldering but do not know where to start and what to check. Any help will be very useful!

begins checking cables, pickups then proceeds to the pedal already the metalzone and a high gain pedal. depending on the guitar do you use it and may be the problem.

How loud is the hiss compared to the signal?

Given the high gain inside the MT-2, I'm not convinced there's anything wrong with it. If you feed it a signal with some noise (say, single coil pickups on an old guitar) and then turn the gain up and boost the mids, I'd expect to hear some hiss.

That said, your pedal *might* be doing something it's not supposed to. It's just that we can't tell from the description so far.

Its a very noisy pedal depending on what you dial in.  I've had an original and I've built a clone.  Both are noisy.  That's why our lord, Jesus Christ invented the Noise Gate.

Can you post a video or a soundclip?
To the extreme, I rock a mic like a vandal.
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle.
