i am going to build a clean boost (LPB-2) and trebleboost (rangemaster, negative ground) into one enclosure, only io am not sure which order it would be best to put them in
its just one input and one output, and theres not enough space to add in more jacks

so what order would you put them in?

>>About a month ago there was a similar post ...'which one first.
 And...it all depends.
R>LPB might be noisier than LPB>Rmaster...depends on how noisy your R's transistor and circuit are.
I quit 'pre-deciding' on multi circuit boxes, instead trying them out first...one in box/one in testjig, in different orders...then...
Maybe try different voicings or a pregain on the second one so that when it kicks in [and the other ones already sorta hot output] the tone can be 'pre-dialed'.
I always try them first...boxxing is something I like to not have to re-do.
Because the LPB builds fairly easily, I'd go as far as to build the second board instead of having to unbox/re-box.
Run the input and output of each effect to a plug, and the input/output of the switches to a jack...then you can switch the effect order, right in the box in the box...[possibly at risk of noise...layout would have to be...finessed']

Just wanted to add that I really like the LPB as a treble boost, using somewhat smaller caps as JD suggests on the GGG page.  Not REALLY smaller caps as on the Screaming Bird but slightly smaller.

I've built the AMZ Mosfet Boost, the Brian May Treble Boost and the Rangemaster.  I've played around with various different orders and combinations and come to the conclusion that I don't like the booster/treble booster combination in any order.  If you boost after the treble boost, there is just too much noise and boosting before the treble boost just make's them too glassy with some ugly distortion on the very top end (even when the booster is running as a buffer).  I'm guessing that the treble booster provide enough input impedance on their own, so the booster is just redundant . . . so, if I were doing it, I'd just put them in the same box (if anything with the booster before the treble boost) with two switches and just use one or the other at a time.

Pretty much what you said Mlabee, and would add, to find the next sound that the added stage [whatever that is]...like what I want when I have the boost on, and hit a stompSw.     >That's< What I'm looking for.
And have found it, but it doesn't seem to turn out to be two boosters ina row...per se'.

so either way round is going to be noisey and meh?

i was thinking either, treble-> clean would boost the treble, then jack up the volume. and clean->treble would drive the input of the treblebooster (a good thing?)

The Rangemaster can take on a very nasty *transistory* sound if preceded by another gain stage or buffer. I would echo the advice to "live with" each pedal for a while, and figure this one out based on based on empirical evidence in your particular setup.
