Don't have a transistor to my name, and need to get lots of parts for cheap. Will probably go the "grab bag" route. Saw some at Jameco, any other suggestions? Thanks!

  A-1 source for cheep parts:
  CRT Monitors !
  TV's
Old Stereos [go for the tube or SS stuff], this includes consoles...but perhaps bring clippers/pliers/screwdrivers so you can take just the guts, leave the cabinet [except the flip-up board or other super flat/solid boards, they make great speaker baffle boards]
Anything with a wire hanging out of it mostly...
  Printers: Power supply.
Some stuff has very little usable componentry in it though...The computer boxes actually don't have much of use in them...the PS's box and...not a whole lot else.
