Wah Pedal Buffer

I am modding a wah pedal, a crazy dunlop one with way too many parts (the one with the fake film can inductor), but it cannot be true bypassed.  I want to add a buffer circuit to it, but I don't have a schematic or anything that could either fit in a wah shell somewhere or takes only +9V.  Please let me know if anyone knows of a good and easy circuit that would work in place of True Bypass.
