I've heard complaints from Boss TR-2 Tremolo pedal owners that claim that the volume drops too much when they turn up the intensity knob.

Somebody said that Keeley or others can add a fourth knob for volume control, would this be difficult to do for the DIYer?

The reason I ask is because I may buy a TR-2 and if I do find that the output volume is too low I want to know if it's an easy mod to do on this particular pedal.

If you reduce R9 ( 10k stock ) you will have a volume increase when engaged, try about half that, or if that's too much of a boost 6k8 should keep it at "unity" when engaged.
I've used 4k7 and it works well, about 2db of boost, so subtle !
My guess is that "Keeley" has removed this and replaced it with about a 10k lin pot ( part of the dual-concentric he uses )

Thanks MartyMart, I'll keep that in mind!
