Audio transformer for Octavia

Hi, I just found this forum.  It's great reading.  I'm planning on building a Tycobrahe Octavia clone for my 4th project and I just recieved the audio transformer and I was wondering, how do you know which side is the primary and which side is the secondary?  There is a P printed on one side of the transformer.  Does this indicate it is the primary side?  Does it matter?  Also, has anyone tried adding a millenium bypass to this circuit?  Is it worth the effort or should I just use a 3pdt to get LED?  Thanks for the help.

ive always used 3pdt switches, i think there easier to work with and cos i live in the UK i could get a 3pdt from america for the same price as a dpdt over here
