Stripboard

alright, you guys are throwing all kind of stripboard layouts at us, now I have to use that instaed of the perfboard.  It looks like it would actually be easier to use the stripboard.  where is a good supplier and also cna someone show the back of a wired on (any pedal would be cool) just so I can get an idea of the soldering and layout

Stripboards gonna be easier/better IMO.
 You don't have to worry about bending the wires just right, then hoping they touch, don't move...etc.,
 I expect a lower incidence of cold solders, bridge overs, missed connections and misconnections in build reports when using a veroboard layout instead of perfing.

Rad Shack carries a "multipurpose pc board"?...$23.50 for a similar 6.5" x 4.5" protoboard at Mouser, maybe it's a UK thing?

The soldering would be easier, just tack your lead to that hole and it's already connected ala the strip. Kinda like a breadboard.

My apologies if the UK comment is ignorant, I just don't see stripboard offered around here

Better quality, tinned vero boards.

I still use the original vero-boards, but for more important projects, the busboard strip-boards are more stable, they don't bend like the veros.

I just ordered some of the small boards from Futurlec, but have not received them yet . . . how is the quality?

not great, but usable.  I actually haven't used the stripboard I ordered from them yet, but I used the other protoboard, with the breadboard pattern.  scores/brakes easily, takes solder well, what more can I ask for?
