Is it possible to go with NPN for the "EasyFace" ?
Just use AC127/3904 and reverse 9v supply/22uf cap ...
any problems doing this guys ?
It would solve the positive ground/PSU problem for me.

Thanks,
Marty.

PSU means power supply unit or WW Means Wall Wart, I wouldn't recommend using one on a FF.
AC127 will work in a neg gnd NPN FF, as will 2n3904
 Reverse 9V supply from - or + ?
I'm using a 2n2369/NTE103 NEg Gnd NPN FF...haven't decided on that yet.
Where are you planning on putting the GE. Q1 or Q2 ?
Seems like putting the GE in Q1 would let Q2 keep it biased better?
And Ge in Q2 would make for the Ge doing most of the Clipping ?
Of course Hfe's in FF as we know account for alot of the good/bad/what you want in a FF.

Thanks Pete,
well I know its kind of "obvious" but I was just wondering why we all dont go with "normal" negative ground and use the AC127 instead of AC128, for FF's tone benders and all ?
I'm not a "whizz" at Ge usage, but have built a few good ones so far.
I was hoping to be able to use a 9v PSU with a "-" ground fuzz, so its wired like all my other builds.
I guess I'm asking for "problems" in doing so, why no "PSU" usage ??

Cheers,
Marty.

Marty, I don't know why either?? Sounds logical. Could have something o do with PNP maybe sounding slightly different - or that's what they had around at the time the effect was designed. Maybe it's more to do with correct current flow - from negative to positive. But we'll ignore that - like we have for the past 50 years :)

Well in my exprience, PSU's add more noise to the circuit. GE's are generally noisy units - specialy with the gain they're used at in most circuits. I love my rangmaster treble booster (nails sabbath easily), but it's way too noisy most of the time
