For those who have seen "Dragonfly"s stripbaord layout ( which sounds great BTW ) here's an update for the circuit:
There is room top left on the board to add the following:
one 100uf power filtering cap, between the top strip "+9v" and bottom strip "ground"
Then also a 1N4001 diode , reverse power protection from top strip "+9v" also to bottom strip "ground"

Easy, quick filtering and protection !!
Andy, perhaps you could add it to your diagram for an update ?

I can do that ! Great idea Marty    thats one of the good things about using stripboards, as well as not packing the components on there super tightly...leaves lots of room for mods, and usually its just a simple matter of soldering the new components in place, instead of having to dismantle half the circuit !
