I have an old Boss J-5  Multiple Jack.  I look inside it and it isn't buffered.  Its just a signal into 4 outputs.  I never had an any problems with noise or seemingly 'weak' signals.

If you just need a buffer to eliminate loading, it can be as simple as a JFET source follower, or an opamp (or three or four, if necessary). If you're worried about ground loops, you'll either have to use an active splitter or a transformer to isolate the output(s). A search for splitter over at Geofex will show you examples of each.

There's Jack Orman's Quad Buffer, available on his AMZ Projects CD.  Go to //www.muzique.com.  Also Jensen Transformers has a four way active, transformer isolated splitter in its schematics section.  If I was going to build one, it'd be this one.  Good luck.
Passive sucks.

i was afraid that something like the jensen will pop up :)
i know it's a good idea to build something like this but it will be expensive as hell.

thanks for the links!

Probably - if you use the Jensen transformers.

My isolated splitter is essentially the Jensen design, except I adapted it to work with the cheap US$2.50 Mouser transformers.

Just make one of the GEO splitters with four output sections. It'll do a good job for you.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

I've built Super Y 2's with multiple outputs using cheap audio isolation transformers for some clients and they have been quite happy with them.

RG - I think i'll do that!
can you recomend me what power supply to use for it?

i just checked pricing on mouser... when you wrote $2.5 you really ment it huh? these are $1.91 !!! at this point i must ask you how bad (or good) these transformers are. jensen are well overpriced because of their name but $1.91 seems too cheap for something good. correct me if i'm mistaking.
