Differential opamp question

I'm looking at an opamp connected as a differential amplifier, with the non-inverted and inverted signals connected to the + and - pins with a single-ended output.

My question is this: is the output inverted or non-inverted?

the output is the difference between the two inputs. ie; the peak of the output will occur when the + signal is at it's peak and the - signal is at it's minimum.

Thanks nifty. The differential amplifier is part of a digital reverb circuit I've been working on for a while now. The circuit blends the guitar's dry signal with wet signal coming from the differential amplifier's output. I was concerned that if the 2 signals were out of phase from one another, I might experience some sort of cancellation. I suspect this would be unlikely, since the two signals are not identical, but I just wanted the design to be as "sound" as possible.
