Hello All

I'm wiring my Les Paul to do the Series/Parallel switching

I've found this schem on seymour duncan website:

http://www.seymourduncan.com/website/support/schematics/2hum_2vol_2tone_3way-w-ssp.html

I'm dealing with this schem because I don't know exactly how the 3-way switch works.. I can't visualize how it select both pickups when it is it the middle position..
And another question: on this schem I'm doing Series/Parallel Switchin' on the Bridge pickup right ? If I want to do it for both, do I need to use another switch, os is there a way to do it only with one switch ?

you would want a switch for each pickup, that is the easist way to control it.  On the guitar I made, I had this configuration also and it was advantageous to have each pickup on a seperate toggle switch.  I used the mini toggles due to ease of use.

Here's an animated .gif I made to show the switch in action. The middle lug is output, the outer two arms are the pickup connections. On a real switch, there may be a ground lug as well. The switch bat moves the arms away from the output, the middle position lets both pickup arms touch the output.

Sorry, couldn't get the .gif to load into the forum as an animation.

I have a 3-postion switch on one of my guitars. It does have a ground lug, which is convenient - it allows you to ground the switch body to prevent it from picking up EMI and stuff.
