what are those red boxes?  :oops:

they are simply breaks in the circuit.

just break the copper wire at the red boxes.

Tht's where you drill the trace, 'ending' it. Some use dremel, I like the drill bit idea...get a wider diameter drill bit than the trace is wide, and drill just deep enough to end/eliminate only "that copper trace  ..EZ.
 The strip should no longer conduct across the little red squares.

thanks petemoore I was gonna ask the best way to cut the traces
