 I'm sure it is a simple signal splitter or something and this guys sell it for 65 bucks,just like a direct box that you can build for 10 bucks!!!

It's WAY less than you think.

Get this, Rick-O-Sound uses a stereo jack on a Rickenbacker guitar, where the two pickups are split out individually. The Rick-O-Sound box is essentially a box with a stereo jack on one side, and two monos on the other, like an insert cable, really.
