help needed with my small stone

i'm building a small stone from tonepad (http://www.tonepad.com/project.asp?id=11) but it's not phasing...
i hear the clean guitar and the lfo clock but no phase effect...
colour switch decreases volume

mods: no
parts replacement: 2k2 resistors instead of 2k - BC550 instead of 2N5088 (reverse pinout) - BC557 instead of 2N5087 (reverse pinout)
ICs: CA3080H

just wanted to let you know it's working
i've replaced the BC550 with 2N5088 and worked ... i had some BC550B and BC550C... the hFE difference between them seemed to be the trouble...
it's a great phase shifter...! i like it much better than my phase 90
