Super Bright LED (white)- http://www.siliconsolar.com/super_bright_led.htm

15° / 5000mcd
30° / 5000mcd
15° / 6000mcd
30° / 6000mcd
15° / 10000-12000mcd
30° / 10000-12000mcd

*does it matter which one i get for my boss pedal? which would you get? if its too high, can it affect the sound?

do you guys recommend a place to get super bright leds?

-----------------------------------

also- i did an indyguitarist mod for the Boss TR2, (tremolo), to fix the drop in volume when it was depressed, .. its fixed.. but, now i think it may be too loud.. if i use distortion with the tremolo- its almost unbearable due to the increase in volume.. any suggestions on what to do?

thanks for your help!

Really doesn't matter which LED you use.  The 30 degree ones will have a larger viewing angle, so it would be better to use those, but really when you're looking at it from 10 feet away it won't make much difference.  Same with brightness.  Also note that the brighter the LED, the more power it will use (battery draw) so select accordingly.

As for mod help, contact the maker of the mod, that's what you paid your big $$$ for.  They're there to help you.  Which is not to say you won't get help here (or you shouldn't ask questions) but that should be your first resource.

i see what you are sayin about the leds... so they cant affect sound- just drawin power from the battery.. or adapter.

thanks !

Well it CAN affect the sound, depending on WHERE you put the LED.  If you're just using the LED as an on/off indicator, then no, it won't really affect the sound.  If you're replacing an existing clipping diode with an LED, then yes, it will radically alter the sound.

If you have reduced a resistor in the TR-2 to get your volume "boost" just re-fit one slightly larger for a "half way" point
