Hey all,

I don't know what you guys pay for LED's these days, but I was looking for some superbright 3mm LED's for a DS-1 upgrade and found this guy on eBay.    His pricing varies a bit, but if you look around, you can find good deals (even his high prices are pretty good).

I was prompted to do this when I saw Digikey wanted $3.75 for 1 LED!!

Here's one of his auctions:

He ships right away, and packs nicely.

No affiliation - just a happy customer.

Never used them but they have a nice selection and prices look reasonable. It's also much easier to navigate than Mouser or Digi-key.

Small Bear is the place for LEDs. The super bright 5mm clear blue ones that normally sell for 4 or 5 dollars are only .50 cents at small bear. Small bear has very low prices on everything I have looked at. The Web site is www.smallbearelectronics.com

...or if in a hurry visit the dollar store and purchase one of the little plastic keychain lights for a buck, take the super bright blue led out and two batteries to boot. I know what you mean some thieves peddling the same led for $3 or more.
