How do you mount stuff inside enclosure?

For the metal screw & holder for mounting boards, should I use a glue gun or contact cement? Also for the battery clip?

thanks

I usually use an epoxy for the standoffs that mount the board. Lately, I've tried the HotStuff medium-viscosity superglue and it seems to work fine. For grounding and clip mounting, I'll drill and tap holes in the base of the enclosure and mount them with small screws. The drill bits and taps that cut the threads can be found at Home Depot or Lowes. The holes are covered by the mousepad I use for the rubber skidproofing on the bottom.
Little time to do it right. Always time to do it over.

Lately I've just been using puffy double-stick tape!

I've been using the same method as inverseroom with my 1590B builds.  The inside of the B is fairly tight, so I stick the circuit board to the backs of the pots using double-sided (foamy) tape.  That stuff is super sticky and it isn't likey that the board will come loose any time soon ;)

Oh, yeah.... (muse)

That stuff from 3M with the green tape...? I've used it to temporarily mount routing templates for guitar making, but didn't even think about it for stompboxes.

Thanks for the responses dudes.
Tape sounds great but what if you need to fix something?
Does the board peel off ok?

Also seeing how I have the metal stand offs already,
I'm wondering what the best method of securing these are.
Also the battery clip. I guess I could use the padded tape for the clip.

Thanks
Sean

They peel off pretty good.  You might have to do some rubbing with your fingers to get any leftover adhesive to "roll" off the bottom of the board.

Try JB weld.
Attach the stand-offs to the board (with your screws/nuts,etc..) then apply the epoxy to the bottom of each stand-off and stick the whole thing in the enclosure wherever you want it to stay.
