Hi,

I would like to make my own power cables to work with my Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2.  The cables I'm looking for are 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel type.  I  found the connectors at Mouser, I just can't find the cabling.  I did a search on this site but couldn't find anything.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Robert

My guess is any 2 conductor wire will do. You could make your own with 2 wires and long pieces of heatshrink. Anyone else agree/disagree/have any suggestions?

Clipped

I had a bunch of those stereo RCA cables that come with all sorts of electronic stuff and I just cut one end off and put the correct end on them.
Worked fine with my homebuilt power supply (Which I made with RCA jacks to mate to one end of said such cables so I only had to cut one end off).

Don't know know how "correct" it is, but it worked just fine.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Great!  Thanks so much guys!

I bought a small roll of one-conductor-and-shield cable, on the basis that it's a bit thinner and fits into the plugs more neatly. Works fine.
